Metronome Music is an independent publishing company, created and run by Harris BB Seaton former lead singer of the original vocal group the Gaylads from Studio One.
Since it started in 1991, the accomplishments of Metronome Music has been extraordinary, boasting a perpetually growing catalogue of some of the most prolific songwriters in Reggae such as Delano Stewart, Harris BB Seaton, Noel Bailey, Joe White, Wain Seaton, Jimmy London, DJ Trigganom, Obi Igwe, Jessie James and a new signing from New London Connecticut the hip hop group “Jon Doe“.

He served as executive member and Vice President for the Jamaica Federation of Musicians, served as a member of the Prime Minister’s performing Arts and festival awards committee. He received the El Suzie award as best song writer and the Jamaican Cultural Development award, for pioneering Jamaican music as one of Jamaica's most recognised singers and songwriters, the MKB & Denoes & Geddes Award for his 38 years of invaluable contribution to the development and growth of Jamaican music since 1959. He received the IRWMA (International Reggae & World Music) life time achievement in the Hall Of Fame Award in 2007 and the Reggae Heritage Award in 2008, the BRIA - British Reggae Industry Award 2013 and the Jamaican High Commission Award for Contribution to the UK Reggae Industry 2013, JARIA Songwriter Honour Award 2015.
